In celebration of the grand opening of its Los Angeles flagship store, SKIMS, the apparel brand co-founded by Kim Kardashian, has transformed the iconic Mel’s Drive-In on Sunset Boulevard into a unique pop-up experience dubbed the “SKIMS Drive-In.” This event runs from April 2 through April 6, 2025, offering patrons a blend of fashion and classic diner culture.
The SKIMS Drive-In features a specially curated menu, subtle brand-themed décor, and a photo booth for guests to capture their moments. While reservations have been fully booked, the diner is accommodating walk-in guests, allowing more fans to partake in the festivities.

This collaboration coincides with the opening of SKIMS’ new 4,546-square-foot flagship store on Sunset Boulevard. Designed by Rafael de Cárdenas, Ltd., the store embodies the brand’s signature aesthetic with rounded fixtures, custom mannequins, and materials like Corian and ultrasuede. A notable feature is the 12-foot sculpture by Vanessa Beecroft at the entrance. The store offers the full range of SKIMS products, including shapewear, loungewear, and underwear for both women and men, along with exclusive releases like the NikeSKIMS collection and a ‘SKIMS loves LA’ capsule, with proceeds supporting the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.
Kim Kardashian expressed her enthusiasm about the brand’s expansion in Los Angeles, stating, “Opening a SKIMS store in Los Angeles is a full-circle moment. Having a space here where people can experience the brand in person makes it even more special.”

The SKIMS Drive-In at Mel’s Drive-In is located at 8585 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069. Operating hours vary throughout the event:
• Wednesday, April 2: 10:00 AM – 12:00 AM
• Thursday, April 3: 7:00 AM – 3:00 AM
• Friday, April 4: 7:00 AM – 12:00 AM
• Saturday, April 5: Open 24 hours
• Sunday, April 6: 12:00 AM – 10:00 PM

This innovative partnership between SKIMS and Mel’s Drive-In offers Angelenos a nostalgic yet contemporary experience, merging the worlds of fashion and classic American dining in the heart of West Hollywood.
