This Weekend: The Venice Fest

The Venice Love Fest is set to return on Saturday, March 22, 2025, offering a vibrant celebration of community, creativity, and connection. Taking place from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Venice Boulevard in Downtown Mar Vista, this free festival promises a day filled with live music, art, food, and family-friendly activities.

Event Highlights:
   •   Live Entertainment: Enjoy performances from local musicians and artists throughout the day, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of the area.
   •   Local Vendors: Explore offerings from over 400 locally made brands and artists, providing a unique shopping experience that supports the community.
   •   Culinary Delights: Savor a diverse selection of food from various food trucks, catering to a wide range of tastes.
   •   Beer Gardens: For attendees aged 21 and over, beer gardens will be available, offering a selection of beverages to enjoy responsibly.
   •   Family Activities: Engage in games and activities suitable for all ages, ensuring a fun-filled day for the entire family.

VIP BeachLife Oasis:

This year, the festival features the exclusive VIP BeachLife Oasis, presented in partnership with BeachLife Festival. This area offers premium amenities, including an open bar with premium drinks, live DJs, entertainment, games, lounges, and exclusive giveaways. Tickets for the VIP experience are available for $81.88, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Nourish LA, supporting families affected by recent fires.

Cece Woods
Editor in Chief Cece Woods considers herself the “accidental activist”. Having spent most her childhood on sands of Zuma Beach, Cece left Southern California in her early 20’s, but it was only a matter of time before she returned to the idyllic place that held so many wonderful memories from her youth. In 2006, she made the journey back to Malibu permanently, the passion to preserve it was ignited. In 2012, Cece became involved in local environmental and political activism at the urging of former husband Steve Woods, a resident for more than 4o years. Cece founded influential print and online media publications, 90265 Magazine in 2013 highlighting the authentic Malibu lifestyle, and The Local Malibu, an online news media site with a strategic focus on environmental and political activism. In the summer of 2018, Cece broke multiple global stories including the law enforcement cover-up in the Malibu Creek State Park Shootings, and is considered by major news media as a trusted authority on Malibu.
