Founder’s Letter: The Season of Change
Editor in Chief Cece Woods considers herself the “accidental activist”.…
As 2022 comes to a close, we reflect not just on the last twelve months, but how much our lives – and the world – has changed over the last two years.
We have settled into a seemingly hard-fought new normal, our social lives have returned to pre-pandemic flow, many of you have re-ignited your passion for travel and quite a few have traded remote work and headed back to the office.
This year, my life has life changed dramatically – and not in the ways mentioned above. For the first time since entering the publishing world, over a decade ago, I unexpectedly landed a truly challenging and gratifying position as news producer and co-host on a global news talk radio network where I get to engage in my passion for breaking news daily.
This new journey feeds my soul as an investigative reporter and truthseeker. Follow me on my weekday news journey on my social media platforms.
I also took a leap of faith and left Malibu, my home of 16 years, and settled in the South Bay, a lifestyle I truly love and has now become ground zero Cali Mag, our latest publishing venture.
Cali Mag was founded in 2020, during the height of the L.A. lockdown and as a result of the loss of the quintessential SoCal life we knew and loved, which seems to have eluded us in this post-pandemic world. The premier issue encountered many roadblocks over the last two years, however, we stayed the course, committed to producing a premium publication that celebrates the authenticity of the iconic California coastal lifestyle.
The New Frontier releases January, 2023.
