Founder’s Letter – Don’t F with Me Issue

-Make no mistake, the theme behind our second issue is clearly not to be messed with.

The “Don’t F with me” issue was inspired by the debut song of the same title by hip hop artist and Cali Mag cover feature, Draven Bennington.

If the last name sounds familiar to a lot of you – as it should – Draven is the son of Chester Bennington, lead singer of Linkin Park.

While musical talent is in Draven’s blood, he is blazing a trail in a different music genre than his father, with a clear warning to all who listen. Hence, the title of his song.

Draven’s talents are expansive and not only limited to music. He is  passionate about his mixed media art, which he began before his music career and his one of a kind clothing designs, all of which is for sale online.

His unique style not only sets him apart, it sets the stage for a second generation of massive success – and doing it all Draven’s way.

Speaking of paving the way for success, it takes a tremendous amount of perserverance to attain success in any given field.

As someone who has taken an unusual career path later in life, which includes building a solid reputation as an investigative reporter, I have had to open many a can of “shut the F up” along my journey and I anticipate opening many more to come. It’s a necessary part of forging the path to your true purpose.

On that note, don’t F with me… and enjoy the new issue!
